Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: design
The highly functional designs of the Vivo T3x and Realme 12x should satisfy smartphone users’ needs at the prices they are asking. Both have a polycarbonate body and a boxy centre frame. On the back is a spherical camera module that houses an LED flash in addition to dual camera sensors. There are flat corners and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the centre.
Both phones come with dual speakers and a fingerprint sensor on the side for security. The Realme 12x only has an IP54 rating but has a Rainwater smart touch function, whilst the Vivo T3x has an IP64 rating for dust and water protection. Twilight Purple & Woodland green is the shade of the Realme 12x, while Crimson Bliss and Celestial Green are the available colours for the Vivo T3.
Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: display
The IPS LCD display is the same for both the Realme 12x and the Vivo T3x. This implies that while the panels might not be as high-end as an AMOLED panel, the information is crisp and free of pixelation because of the FHD+ resolution. For seamless UI and system motion scrolling, both feature a 120Hz refresh rate. Realme, on the other hand, provides dynamic refresh rates of 45, 48, 60, 90, and 120 Hz.
With 1000 nits more brightness than the Realme 12x (950 nits), the Vivo T3x has a modest advantage in this area. There shouldn’t be much of a difference, but it should slightly affect visibility outside.
Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: performance
In terms of performance, the Vivo T3x and Realme 12x come with chipsets from two distinct manufacturers. One uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, but the Realme 12x has a Dimensity 6100+ SoC. Both support LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage technology.
Aside from specifications, the Vivo T3x wins hands out in terms of performance, thanks to a more powerful chipset. This is also reflected in AnTuTu. The Vivo phone earned a respectable 549494 points on the benchmark, whereas the Realme 12x achieved only 418175 lakh points on the same platform. While ordinary real-world usage is more or less the same, it is during severe gaming or heavy-duty chores that the Realme phone stutters and begins to slow down. There is no abnormal heating issue on both phone.
The Vivo T3x and Realme 12x are offered in three models: 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB storage options.
Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: cameras
Vivo T3x and Realme 12x include a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. We also get the same 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
Both phones’ cameras should work similarly: take nice shots in good lighting and moderately acceptable photos in low light. Selfies should follow the same pattern. We’ll have more to say about the Vivo T3x cameras in our review.
Vivo T3x vs Realme 12x: battery, software
Vivo wins in the battery aspect, courtesy to its larger 6,000mAh battery vs the Realme 12x’s 5,000mAh one. This should improve the Vivo phone’s battery life and allow it to last longer even under intense use. We obtain nearly identical 44W fast charging on the Vivo and 45W on the Realme 12x, which takes about 50 minutes to charge completely from 0 to 100 percent. Vivo T3x should take slightly longer due to its larger battery.
In terms of software, both the Vivo T3x and Realme 12x come pre-installed with Android 14 and a custom skin.
Final Verdict
The Vivo T3x and Realme 12x are remarkable cheap mid-range smartphones that enable 5G networks. We receive a similar 6.72-inch display, 50MP camera combination, and Android 14 operating system out of the box. However, based on preliminary findings, the Vivo T3x appears to be the better buy of the two, thanks to a superior Snapdragon CPU, a larger 6,000mAh battery, a higher IP64 classification than IP54, and a slightly brighter IPS LCD display. The choice is clear: the Vivo T3x is a better buy.
