What Is Viator’s Cancellation Policy?

Every travel activity that you can book on Viator.com comes with one of three cancellation policies. If the activity has a free cancellation policy, then you can receive a full refund if you make your cancellation request more than 24 hours before your activity's scheduled starting time. If your activity has Viator's moderate cancellation policy, then you have until 96 hours before the activity's start time to request a cancellation for a full refund. Lastly, activities with a strict cancellation policy must be canceled at least one full week in advance for you to receive a full refund.

Viator Tour Booking and Payment Policy

Booking a tour on Viator is free of charge. No booking fees will be collected. The tour guide takes a 20% deposit as payment for the time slot. The 20% tour guide rate is usually rounded off to the nearest amount. Depending on the currency the tour guide uses, the minimum deposit is either €1 or $1.50. The remaining balance is paid in cash to the tour guide on the day of the tour. The amount outlined on the booking confirmation notice (emailed to you) is the legal amount due to the tour guide. Viator Cancellation and Refund Policy
